The conference centre
The International House complex is situated on a forest meadow near St. Andreasberg in the upper Harz Mountains, well over 2000 ft. above sea level. There are conference and leisure buildings and guest houses allowing accommodation for up to 180 persons in single rooms and rooms containing several beds. All main rooms are accessible to wheelchairs. Special rooms for the accommodation of disabled persons are available. A dining hall, conference rooms, group-work rooms, a library, a stage, a sound studio, workshop and recreation rooms as well as simultaneous translation equipment and a great number of audio-visual media are provided. Opportunities for country walks and sports are abundant. The conference centre is an excellent starting point for excursions to Wernigerode, Quedlinburg, Goslar or to Halberstadt, Göttingen and Braunschweig....
