Central and western Bohemia is an area that is relatively unknown from a tourist point of view – the town of Kutná Hora (German: Kuttenberg) is 70 km from Prague and is part of Bohemian, German and European history. Here and in the surrounding area you can discover unknown traces of the European Reformation, evidence of world culture and cultural monuments forming part of the UNESCO world cultural heritage, such as the historic old town, ancient churches and monasteries, castles and palaces, a former imperial stud-farm, interesting museums and galleries and also musical, commercial and industrial traditions.
