Conference and Education Centre
The site of the International House, comprising several conference, accommodation and leisure facilities, is situated at 2,300 ft on a forest meadow near St. Andreasberg in the Upper Harz Mountains. The centre offers accommodation for up to 180 guests. Single, double and group occupancy are available. The design ranges from modern en-suite rooms to more simple but practical rooms without bathrooms.
Included are also a dining hall, conference and seminar rooms, a stage, a multimedia room (computer room), rooms for craft and other leisure activities, two cellar bars (one with a disco), barbecue hut, table tennis, interpreting and audio-visual equipment. Conference equipment can be provided, such as a flipchart, pinboard, projector, slide projector and overhead projector.
Since we are situated in the middle of a National Park, the conference centre makes an ideal base for hikes, walks and winter sports (skis and toboggans can be hired at the House). The town of St. Andreasberg is less than two miles away and is waiting to be discovered – there are a mining museum, a National Park visitor centre and a summer toboggan run. Goslar, Wernigerode, Quedlinburg, Göttingen and Brunswick are also worth a visit.
