First Action

Searching for HAPPINESS

Happiness and a good life – what is that? Friends, family and a save job? Independence, excitement and an adventurous Insta-Story? Wealth? Health? All of that together? And how do we measure happiness?

Some psychologists say, that human beings only act to serve needs, and when all needs are served, they are happy. If that is true – what needs do we really have? And what if fulfilling my needs actually is in the way of other people fulfilling their need? And how much of happiness actually depends on the outside and how much on our thoughts and feelings?

In our one week seminar at House Sonnenberg, we will try to find out how we can live happily, as individuals and as global society. We will have a look at our own personal concepts of happiness and follow the question: How much of happiness actually depends on the outside and how much on our thoughts and feelings? We will learn about and discuss different social concepts and political ideas around happiness from around the globe.

And we´ll get into action and find out how and if nature-experience, producing art, meditation and being with a group of students from three different countries influences our feeling of being happy.
